Silky Biryani


Ingredients:  The ingredients needed to make “Silky Biryani” are as follows:


1 ½ kg

Chicken pieces

2 ½ cups

Rice (boiled)

1tbsp

Ginger­/ garlic paste

1 cup

Yogurt

8

Green chilies (crushed)

1tsp

Black pepper (crushed)

4tbsp

Lemon juice

500 grams

Fresh cream

Onion (finely cut)

1 cup

Milk (fresh)

1 pinch

Orange food color

½ bunch + for garnishing

Fresh mint (finely cut)

To taste

Salt

1 cup

Oil

1tbsp

Butter


Method:

  1. Cook chicken, ginger/garlic, mint, chilies, yogurt, and salt in a pot till dry.
  2. Add pepper and lemon juice; remove from flam.
  3. Heat oil in a wok; fry onions. Remove.
  4. Spread onions on pepper; allow becoming crisp.
  5. Crumble with a finger.
  6. Pour hot oil over chicken; allow to cool and add cream.
  7. Layer a wide-necked pot with ½ rice, chicken, ½ onions, and remaining rice.
  8. Dissolve food color in milk; pour over rice, and cover it for two minutes.

Delicious gram “Silky Biryani” is ready.

Presentation:

Garnish with mint and remaining onions; serve
